Romans 12:1–2 (CEB)
So, brothers and sisters, because of God’s mercies, I encourage you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice that is holy and pleasing to God. This is your appropriate priestly service. Don’t be conformed to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you can figure out what God’s will is—what is good and pleasing and mature.
DevoThought
Worship is often reduced to singing.
Scripture paints a much bigger picture.
Worship is our response to God’s goodness, mercy, holiness, and love. Singing is one expression of worship, but worship itself is the surrender of our entire lives.
Every act of obedience becomes worship.
Every choice to trust God becomes worship.
Every moment we surrender our own desires to follow Him becomes worship.
The songs we sing on Sunday should simply be the overflow of lives that have been worshipping all week long.
When worship becomes our lifestyle, the platform becomes a place of expression rather than performance.
